Product Features

  • 4K@60Hz High Speed video with Ethernet: Carries Full HD and 4K@60Hz Ultra HD video over a shielded 24 AWG HDMI Type A cable, with the HDMI Ethernet Channel built in for home theater, projector and console setups.
  • CL2 in-wall rated for permanent runs: The jacket is CL2 rated and VW-1/FT4 flame tested, so the cable can be routed inside walls and ceilings to meet common building requirements for behind-the-wall AV installations.
  • 24 AWG conductors built for longer distances: Thicker 24 AWG conductors and an aluminum foil plus 65% braided shield help hold a stable 4K signal across the 25, 35, 50 and 65 ft lengths used for across-room and ceiling-mounted projector runs.
  • HDMI ARC and gold-plated connectors: The Ethernet channel doubles as an Audio Return Channel, sending TV audio back to a soundbar over the same cable, while 19-pin gold-plated contacts and gold-flash shells resist corrosion for a low-resistance connection.
  • Versatile Applications: Connects wall-mounted TVs, ceiling projectors, AV receivers, soundbars (ARC), Blu-ray players, cable boxes and game consoles across home theater, conference room and whole-house AV installations from 1 to 65 ft.

Product Description

65ft 4K HDMI Cable with Ethernet, CL2 In-Wall, 24 AWG, for Home Theater, UL, Black

The High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet connects two HDMI Type A devices and carries Full HD and 4K@60Hz Ultra HD video for home theater and AV installations. With a male connector on both ends, it runs directly from a source such as an AV receiver, Blu-ray player or media server to a wall-mounted TV or ceiling-mounted projector. Thicker 24 AWG conductors and a CL2 in-wall rating make it suited to the longer, permanent runs that a standard thin HDMI cable is not built for, while the HDMI Ethernet Channel lets a single cable handle both video and audio return.

Both ends terminate in a 19-pin HDMI Type A male connector with gold-plated contacts and gold-flash shells that resist corrosion and hold a low-resistance connection. The molded strain relief protects the cable where it bends behind a display or enters a wall plate, supporting the tight routing common in behind-the-wall and ceiling installations.

Inside, 24 AWG copper-clad steel conductors are wrapped in aluminum foil and a 65% braided shield that limit electromagnetic interference across a longer run. The thicker gauge and shielding help maintain a stable 4K@60Hz picture over the 25, 35, 50 and 65 ft lengths, where thinner cables are more likely to show signal dropout on a large display or projector.

The jacket is CL2 in-wall rated and VW-1/FT4 flame tested, and the cable is UL listed (E333339), CSA marked (204790) and RoHS compliant. The CL2 rating meets common building requirements for routing signal cable inside walls and ceilings, which is why this cable fits permanent home theater and conference room wiring rather than a temporary desktop hookup.

Because the cable includes the HDMI Ethernet Channel, it also carries the Audio Return Channel (ARC), sending sound from a TV back down the same cable to a soundbar or AV receiver. This keeps a home theater signal chain to a single HDMI connection between the display and the audio system and removes the need for a separate optical audio run.

The black jacket provides a professional appearance and suits standard data center and enterprise rack deployments.

This High Speed cable is offered from 1 to 65 ft, with the shorter lengths suited to equipment racks and the 25 to 65 ft lengths built for across-room, wall and ceiling routing. It works with any HDMI Type A device for Full HD and 4K@60Hz content. For runs longer than a passive cable supports, use an active HDMI extender or an HDMI fiber optic cable; for 4K@120Hz gaming or 8K video, choose an Ultra High Speed 8K HDMI 2.1 cable instead.

FAQ

What is the difference between a High Speed HDMI cable and an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable?

A High Speed HDMI cable like this one handles Full HD and 4K@60Hz video, which covers home theater, projectors and most streaming and console viewing. An Ultra High Speed (HDMI 2.1) cable is only needed for 4K@120Hz or 8K. If you are not running 4K@120Hz or 8K, a High Speed cable is enough.

Is this cable compatible with a projector, wall-mounted TV, AV receiver and soundbar?

Yes. It works with any HDMI Type A device, including projectors, TVs, AV receivers, Blu-ray players, cable boxes and consoles. Because it includes the Ethernet channel, it also supports ARC for sending TV audio back to a soundbar or receiver over the same cable.

How far can I run a 4K HDMI cable before I need an active or fiber cable?

A passive 4K@60Hz HDMI cable like this one is dependable up to about 50 ft, and this cable is offered to 65 ft with 24 AWG conductors and shielding to hold the signal. For runs beyond that, use an active HDMI cable or an HDMI fiber optic cable instead of a passive copper cable.

Can this HDMI cable be run inside a wall, and what does CL2 mean?

Yes. This cable is CL2 in-wall rated, meaning its jacket passes the fire-safety tests common building codes require for signal cable routed inside walls and ceilings. CL2 covers most residential in-wall runs; CL3 is a higher rating for more demanding installations.

Which length should I choose for a home theater or projector setup?

Choose the shortest length that reaches comfortably: 3 to 6 ft for gear in the same rack, 10 to 15 ft for a nearby wall-mounted TV, and 25, 35, 50 or 65 ft for a ceiling projector or across-room run. Longer lengths pair with the CL2 rating for in-wall routing.
